Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep dalam Materi Bilangan Ganjil Genap dengan Menggunakan Model PAIKEM di Kelas II Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This study aims to see an overview of the increase in students understanding of Mathematical concepts after the learning using the PAIKEM model. To overcome the problem of teaching in mathematics subjects especially in even and odd number material, the researcher proposed a teaching method that is teaching mathematics on even and odd numbers using PAIKEM. PAIKEM has five elements of the learning process activities, namely: active, creative, innovative, effective and enjoyable learning. The population in this study was all 2nd grade students of SDN Cipatat I, West Bandung Regency. Sampling was done randomly by class, namely by accepting the minimum condition of the subject with a non-equivalent control group design. Class II (A) as an experimental class was given learning with the PAIKEM model and class II (B) as a Control class was given learning using conventional one. The results of this study are as follows: (1) there is an influence of the application of the PAIKEM model in improving students' understanding of concepts in mathematics (2) the understanding improvement of students using the PAIKEM model is better than students who use conventional learning model, namely 32, 8% for the experimental class and 3.4% for the control class.
