Penerapan Pendekatan Kontekstual untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Siswa dalam Menceritakan Hasil Pengamatan

Abstract

his research is motivated by the interest of writer to overcome student difficulties in telling the result of observation. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview of the use of contextual approaches to improve students' ability to narrate the results of observations based on real events. The research method used is Classroom Action Research Method (PTK). Data collection is done through test, observation and field notes. Sources of data in this study are students of class VIII SLB C Sukapura as much as 3 students. The re- sult of this research shows that the contextual approach can improve student learning activities, teacher teaching performance, and students' ability in telling the results of observations with coherence language, good and true. The result of observation and test on student learning activity on average shows a significant increase. Therefore, contextual approach as a teaching approach has an important role in improving students' ability in learning.
